You can benefit from cloud connectivity powered by Evolution Platform if you have Orange Business VPN connectivity, an Orange Internet connection or an Internet connection with a third-party operator.

Note that Evolution Platform is not compatible with third-party Business VPN connectivity.

All our POPs are technically compatible with this service, but Orange Business has chosen to make the service available as a priority in the following areas:

- Cloud connectivity IPSec: Beaujon (Paris West), Aubervilliers (Paris East), Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Ashburn, San Jose, Hong Kong and Singapore

- Private cloud connectivity: Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris, London, Dublin, Washington DC, Silicon Valley, Chicago, Dallas, Toronto, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Mumbai, Johannesburg, Melbourne, Sydney and Sao Paulo

Microsoft Azure in private peering (IaaS) is the first service available. It will be followed by private AWS (end 2024) then Cloud Avenue, GCP and Oracle in H1 2025. Consult your Orange Business sales contact to follow the roadmap for access to cloud services.

There is no obligation to use the service for a fixed period. You can use the service for a few hours and stop at any time. As the minimum unit of use is the hour, you will be billed a minimum of one hour if you use the service for less than 60 minutes. However, you can negotiate a commitment period of 12, 24, 36 months or more, depending on your needs.

Yes, you must have an Azure contract for your cloud needs. This contract is usually with Microsoft, which is separate from the contract with Orange Business. Cloud connectivity involves adhoc charges in your cloud contract. Private connectivity to Azure generates charges linked to Microsoft's Azure ExpressRoute service. IPSec connectivity to Azure generates charges linked to the Microsoft IPSec gateway service.

Yes, there are no commercial or technical restrictions on the combined use of these services. You can use them flexibly, depending on the cloud access needs of your network architecture. For example, you can combine private access to Azure in Amsterdam, which gives you very high bandwidth and high availability for your critical applications, with IPSec Azure access in Frankfurt, which is less critical and has lower bandwidth, for the needs of your development projects in Germany.

No, you are free to choose any back-up POP from the list of available POPs. For example, you can choose Frankfurt as your primary POP and Amsterdam, Paris or a POP on another continent as your secondary POP. However, when selecting a POP for cloud connectivity, we suggest choosing POPs that are as close as possible to the cloud resources you need to reach for both your primary and secondary POPs.
