JTI needed better visibility into its network and applications to support business productivity and ensure agile operations. Network stability is vital for JTI to maintain business stability around the globe and ensure its employees and customers can effectively communicate and collaborate.
JTI, a long-term partner of Orange Business, is a large, highly distributed organization, including more than 600 sites worldwide and four main data centers. The requirement from JTI was to deploy a modern solution to monitor and analyze data flow efficiently for optimum performance and productivity. The solution needed to be able to provide best-in-class delivery and assurance with full visibility, monitoring and reporting across multi-tenant networks.
End-to-end visibility to optimize network performance
JTI’s goal is to continue to provide adult consumers with a wide range of quality products, including reduced-risk products, which have the potential to reduce the risks associated with smoking. It will do this partly by increasing investments in RRP, notably in heated tobacco sticks.
VaaS may be offered as a cloud-based or on-premise service, providing continuous visibility 24/7 across an enterprise’s applications and networks. VaaS on-prem fitted JTI’s demands for a solution that could improve productivity, decrease business risk and reduce costs by providing visibility service for application performance and IT infrastructure.
JTI is using LiveWire to monitor data centers in Japan and Switzerland. The solution collects and processes data that network engineers need to fix issues quickly – including network telemetry and network packets.
