Orange Business Services offers optimized network performance solution for Lenovo
Paris and Beijing, Nov. 18, 2008
Business Acceleration service to improve visibility, management and performance of applications
Orange Business Services has signed a services contract with Lenovo, one of the
world’s leading personal computer manufacturers.
Orange Business Services will provide Business Acceleration to connect Lenovo’s
global sales team in 13 countries. Business Acceleration is a suite of business
services that improves visibility, management and performance of applications
through an optimized global communications infrastructure.
Focused on application-centric networking, Business Acceleration provides a predictive
end-user experience beyond the infrastructure and enables performance guarantees
to end-users. It illustrates Orange Business Services’ goal to help its customers
deliver outstanding performances on their core business applications.
The Business Acceleration suite is one of the key services designed to bring
focus, control and greater speed to applications that are central to consistent
delivery of quality services. The three phases of business acceleration are analysis,
management and optimization. The analysis stage is designed to give companies
visibility into their communications infrastructure and business critical applications.
The management phase is about having the control to manage performance and network
resources, prioritizing bandwidth, while optimization is about using company infrastructure
to improve the performance of business applications, which often involves simplifying
infrastructure to reduce operational costs and ease management.
"Orange Business Services’ Business Acceleration helps bring focus, control and
greater speed to our applications. Its vendor-agnostic approach offers us flexible
and custom-build solutions that meet our performance needs,” said Lynn Lin, executive
director, Global Infrastructure Service, Lenovo. "The combination of services
and technology from Orange Business Services helps to enable our global sales
team to focus on our customers' needs by launching services faster and more efficiently,"
added Lin.
The new service will increase network manageability, application performance,
and employees’ productivity.
"Lenovo needs world class, optimized business communications to support its global
growth plans and maintain seamless connection with the Beijing and other IT hubs,”
said Wang Chao, General Manager, China, Orange Business Services. “We are pleased
that Lenovo has awarded its contract to Orange Business Services. This agreement
demonstrates our strong credentials as an integrated communications provider of
choice to companies operating on a global scale."
In addition to Business Acceleration, Orange Business Services will provide a
best-in-class solution and technical support to maximize the performance of Lenovo’s
global MPLS-based VPN.
